University reserves the right to make changes in the application calendar.
NOTE: Our students who have a Proficiency
Certificate of Turkish or exempt from the education of Turkish language will
not be able to register courses in the Fall Semester of the 2024-25 Academic
Year after the registrations which will start on October 21, 2024. Those
students will be able to just register in the Spring Semester of the 2024-25
Academic Year.
NOTE: If a student cannot
register on the dates in question due to a prolonged visa process, delay in
high school graduation exams or travel restrictions, the right to register is
reserved if the student declares his/her situation by sending an e-mail to
int@siirt.edu.tr during the registration dates and presents documents proving
his/her declaration when he/she comes to register.
I.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
Those who will apply;
Ø Providing
that being high school senior or being at the graduation stage
1) Any foreign
nationality students.
Those who
are studying in secondary education (high school) in Türkiye must meet the
condition which indicates that registering before 2022-3 education and teaching
year. Previous sentence excludes these institutions which are embassy schools
and international private teaching schools which are in the scope of MOBİS
2) Those who
had Turkish citizenship which was acquired by birthright but lost it by having
a permission to renounce it from Minister of Internal Affairs as well as those
who have a Blue Card (Those who are studying in secondary education (high
school) in Türkiye must meet the condition which indicates that registering
before 2022-3 education and teaching year)
3) Those who
have a dual citizenship. In other words, while s/he was a foreign national,
s/he later on acquired a citizenship and become a citizen of Turkish Republic.
(Those who are studying in secondary education (high school) in Türkiye must
meet the condition which indicates that registering before 2022-3 education and
teaching year)
4) Students of
Turkish nationality who completed the last three years of their secondary
education (high school) in any foreign country other than Turkish Republic of
Northern Cyprus (TRNC) providing that attended secondary education abroad
before 01/02/2013. (Including those who completed their entire secondary
education (high school) in Turkish schools which were opened by the Ministry of
Education in a foreign country other than TRNC)
5) Students of
Turkish nationality who completed their entire secondary education (high
school) in any foreign country other than Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus
providing that attended secondary education abroad after 01/02/2013. (Including
those who completed their entire secondary education (high school) in Turkish
schools which were opened by the Ministry of Education in a foreign country
other than TRNC)
6) Those who
are TRNC citizens and reside in TRNC and have completed their secondary
education in TRNC have an GCE AL Exam results. And those who have already had
or will being have GCE AL Exam results by enrolling and studying in high
schools and colleges between 2005 and 2010.
Applications which are not
accepted due to following circumstances:
1) Those who
are Turkish citizens and completed their entire secondary education (high
school) in Türkiye or TRNC
2) Those who
are TRNC nationals (Excluding those who are TRNC citizens in TRNC and have
completed their secondary education in TRNC have an GCE AL Exam results. And
those who have already had or will being have GCE AL Exam results by enrolling
and studying in high schools and colleges between 2005 and 2010)
3) Dual nationals whose first nationality is Turkish at
birth. (Excluding those who were mentioned previous charter’ 4. and 5.
articles)
4) Those who
have dual citizenship, one of which is TRNC (Excluding those who are TRNC
citizens in TRNC and have completed their secondary education in TRNC have an
GCE AL Exam results. And those who have already had or will being have GCE AL
Exam results by enrolling and studying in high schools and colleges between
2005 and 2010)
5) Those who
have Turkish national study at schools within the embassies in Türkiye and
foreign high schools in Türkiye. (Those who have dual citizenship and first of
them is Turkish citizenship which was acquired by birthright)
6) TRNC
citizens, those who have renounced Turkish citizenship/Blue Card holders and
foreign nationals who will enrol in secondary education institutions in Türkiye
as of the 2023-2024 academic year.
II.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Ø Applicants
must have minimum one condition which is being indicated in the table.

240; the departments of Engineering Faculty must receive at least 170 points,
verbal departments that accept students according to their equal weighted
score must receive at least 160 points and verbal departments that accept
students according to their social score must take at least 150 points.

III.
DOCUMENTS WHICH ARE NECESSARY FOR APPLICATION
Application
form, high school diploma and transcript, passport or identity card, passport
photograph and also if any, disability situation form must be submitted.
Necessary conditions which
enable candidates so that they can take Special talent exam of Physical
Education and Sports for Vocational School.

1) Must have a bachelor’s degree
certificate or document which indicates being athlete in any branch in terms of
last three years.
2) Must be documented that being
joined in competitions actively in any branch in terms of last five years.
3) Candidates who don’t have a
bachelor’s degree certificate in terms of last three years but have a
bachelor’s degree certificate the one before have to submit a documentation
which indicates that being joined in local competitions or if any, their
competition degrees.
4) Must be submitted a CV to
committee which was formed by taking into account previous articles.
5) Candidates
who represent and document their country as a national athlete in international
competitions in any branch, the commission may place them without taking a
special talent test, if considered proper.
IV.
APPLICATION DATE AND HOW DOES IT MAKE?
Applications
are made with required documents between the specified dates via online system
which is designated by university.

V.
THE EVALUATION OF APPLICATIONS
1) Evaluation
of applications and placement of candidates are under the authority of Siirt
University.
2) In
case of missing documents, the application will not be evaluated. On the other
hand, meeting the application requirements does not point out the acceptance of
application.
3) Applicants
can make up five choices in accordance with having a right to apply.
4) Candidates
who are accepted must submit an official document which demonstrates their
financial means so as to continue their higher education.
VI.
DOCUMENTS WHICH ARE NECESSARY FOR FINAL REGISTRATION
PROCEDURES
1) Original
high school diploma
2) The notary certified Turkish sample of high school
diploma which must be notarized by Turkish Embassy / Consulate or sworn
translator and interpreter in their own country.
3) Transcript
(must be original)
4) The notary
certified Turkish sample of transcript which must be notarized by Turkish
Embassy / Consulate or sworn translator and interpreter in their own country.
5) Original
passport which mustn’t be expired.
6) Original
passport which mustn’t be expired, and the notary certified Turkish sample of
that passport which must be notarized by Turkish Embassy / Consulate or sworn
translator and interpreter in their own country.
7) If any,
residence permit document, temporary protection document, or other documents
which replace the residence permit document.
8) Four (4)
pieces biometric photograph which must be 4,5 by 6 and be taken within last six
months.
9) Bank
receipt which states that the tuition fee has been paid.
10) An internationally valid
document which demonstrates their financial means so as to continue their
higher education or the form of SIU.FR-1473 or Foreign Student
Financial Situation Declaration.
11) Foreign Student Residence

12) Foreign Student Information
Form. (The form of SIU.FR-1470)
13) Documents required for
application for students who will definitely register to programs that accept
students through special talent examination at the School of Physical
Education and Sports was mentioned under previous charter which specified
necessary documents for application?
14) Tuition which is determined by
members of the university senate, and it must be paid between the specified
dates.
VII.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVELS
Q: Which Turkish level
should possible applicant have so as to start studying?
Those who
are proficient in Turkish (C2, C1 and B2 Level) will be able to start their
education immediately. If they are not, it means that possible applicants whose
Turkish language skills are evaluated as insufficient (undocumented, A1, A2 and
B1 Level) will not be able to start education.
Q: If candidates do not
have enough Turkish level, then which procedure must they follow?
Those who
are accepted to our university must take sufficient score from Turkish exams
which are conducted by TÖMER (Centre of Teaching Turkish) or The Institution of
Yunus Emre so as to start their education.
Q: Under which conditions
isn’t Turkish proficiency required?
Candidates
who completed their secondary education in Turkish high schools which are
affiliated with the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Türkiye
excluding open education high schools and candidates who graduated from high
schools whose education language is Turkish don’t have to submit a document
concerning their Turkish level.
Q: If
required language proficiency is not documented, then what happens?
If required language
proficiency is not documented at the end of four terms which includes
registration term, their connection with university is severed.
Q: Is there any exceptional exam except Turkish
proficiency for candidates?
Yes, there
are.
1) In addition
to Turkish proficiency, students who are accepted the Faculty of Theology have
to take Arabic exemption exam. Those who prove their proficiency will start
from the first grade. In other situation, they who cannot pass will study
Arabic Preparatory Program for one year.
2) In addition
to Turkish proficiency, students who are accepted the programs whose education
language is English such as English Translation and Interpreting, Applied English
Translation (English), Applied English Translation (English) (Evening
Education), English Teaching and Economics (English) have to submit a
local/international proficiency document which refers their English
proficiency. Those who don’t have proficiency document must take English
exemption exam. Those who prove their proficiency will start from the first
grade. In other situation, they who cannot pass will study English Preparatory
Program for one year.
