100,000 Euro Erasmus+ budget was awarded to our University
Siirt
University has achieved a significant milestone in its internationalization
efforts by securing a total of €100,000 in Erasmus+ funding for the year
2025. This remarkable achievement reflects the University's strategic
commitment to enhancing academic mobility and global engagement.
Through the KA131
Project, the University was awarded approximately €80,000, marking a
118% increase compared to the previous year. This funding will support
the mobility of 20 students and 12 staff members to various
European countries for academic exchange activities.
In addition,
for the first time in its history, Siirt University has successfully
obtained funding under the KA171 Project, receiving approximately €20,000.
This project will facilitate academic mobility with countries outside the
Erasmus programme, particularly targeting partner institutions in the Southern
Mediterranean (Algeria) and the Balkans (Albania) regions.
With a total of
€100,000 in Erasmus+ grants, the university has strengthened its
position in the international academic landscape. These funds will enable
students and staff to gain valuable international experience, enhance academic
collaboration, and promote cultural exchange with both European and neighboring
non-EU countries.
This
accomplishment is the result of the dedicated and strategic efforts of the
Siirt University Erasmus Office, which continues to expand the university’s
international partnerships and improve access to global academic opportunities.
